30 years in the making

Rob Drummond has over 35 years experience in construction, starting out in Winnipeg and eventually moving west. He has been a part of Oil City Drywall first as an employee, then partner and now as owner. Rob has spent 13 years in the Edmonton area building relationships with General Contractors as well as other trades. He has great relationships with suppliers and manufacturers giving him the opportunity to continually work with them to increase his knowledge of new products and applications.

He has made big changes to the way Oil City estimates, the training supplied to our employees and project tracking to be more efficient and competitive. Our onsite foreman are all issued IPads to help track a project's progress. Using the Fieldwire program, we are able to track, in real time, the progress and site conditions of each job along with photos and environmental data. Once entered into the program, this information is immediately available company wide. This software is also used to submit extra work orders so we can include as much information as possible. Daily and weekly reports are reviewed to ensure that timelines are met. Oil City also uses estimating software to ensure that every project is estimated accurately and are cost effective. Rob has pushed for a more detailed and stringent safety program resulting in Oil City receiving our COR in 2016.

With all the changes that have been made to increase efficiency and accuracy, Oil City still manages to keep a personal connection to its Clients and coworkers. Oil City takes pride in the work that we perform and believe that all tasks should be done right, the first time.
